Clayton began his branding career in 1993 as a Brand Consultant where he developed comprehensive knowledge of the industry while working with the world’s largest companies, developing some of the world’s most memorable brands such as Advair, Escalade, and Outlook. Quickly rising to the rank of President and CEO, Clayton turned Addison Whitney into one of the top ten branding agencies in the world. After sixteen years Clayton sold this Company with the goal of repairing the agency-client relationship and revitalizing the branding process with a methodology designed to provide fact-based, world-class Brand solutions.

Chief Brand Strategy Officer
Rich began his career as the Special Events Manager in 1982 for The Procter & Gamble Company. His initial work with iconic brands such as Folgers, Pringles, and Nicorette/NicoDerm CQ has decorated him as an accomplished Brand builder adept at creatively transforming strategic insights into customized business solutions. Throughout his career Rich has uniquely employed classical, retail and sports marketing expertise to profitably build shareholder and sales value at diverse organizations. Rich continues to produce effective and efficient go-to market solutions for brandsymbol’s world-class clients.
Douglas E. Rand
Senior Vice President
Doug has over two decades of experience in developing highly recognized brands for some of the world’s largest healthcare companies such as AbbVie, Teva, and Roche. Starting his branding career in 1992 as one of Addison Whitney’s Brand Consultants, Doug rapidly rose to the title of Managing Director. Later he became the Chief Branding Officer for Garrigan Lyman Group, which helped propel him to become the President of Brand Institute’s Midwest region. After five years Doug rejoined former Addison Whitney colleague, Clayton Tolley, to establish brandsymbol as a leader in the healthcare branding industry.
