CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Brandsymbol announces the hiring of Douglas E. Rand as Senior Vice President, bringing extensive expertise and enthusiasm for branding to help grow the newly founded agency to compete against legacy branding agencies.

Beginning his career as a Brand Consultant at Addison Whitney in 1992, D. E. Rand rapidly rose to the title of Managing Director and later became the Chief Branding Officer for Garrigan Lyman Group. These roles eventually led to him becoming President of Brand Institute’s Midwest region, where he spent five years developing long-term relationships with pharmaceutical clients such as AbbVie, Teva, and Roche.
“I love the strategic and creative components of branding, but branding is not just a project to me, it’s really about working with people. I’ve developed a passion for the client, working directly with them to ensure they get the Brand they need to be successful … this is a passion C. D. Tolley and I share, and the main driver for us both looking to continue our careers at a new branding agency” D. E. Rand explained.
