Calliham will join the growing Production Department to contribute her expert trademark knowledge to brandsymbol’s unique i4 Methodology, screening all names before presenting then to the client in order circumvent trademark conflicts further down the road.
J. M. Calliham graduated from Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh, and began her career as an attorney at Day & Brzustowicz Law Offices. However, her work focused on trademarking when she began working for the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in 1999 as a Trademark Examining Attorney, rejecting and approving Federal trademark applications. Throughout her years there, J. M. Calliham received extensive training in searching and discerning whether a trademark is registerable. After leaving the USPTO, J. M. Calliham joined a U.S. Top 100 Law Firm where she exclusively practiced trademark law, reversing over 85% of trademark registration refusals issued by the USPTO.
