GE Appliances created a new type of gas burner that uses an electronic gas valve with sensors that allow the valve to self-regulate and maintain a specified temperature. The team engaged Brandsymbol to create a brand name that was versatile enough to be used within multiple GE Appliances lines while also clearly distinguished from the competition. After multiple creative presentations, the teams decided on the name ChefConnect®, which combines two current usage words, “chef” and “connect,” to accurately explain the function of the gas burner, simply and effectively conveying the product’s exceptional connectivity.
