MPM Capital approached Brandsymbol to develop a compelling verbal and visual identity for its recent acquisition—a South San Francisco-based company focused on advancing immunotherapies. This newly acquired company developed first-in-class medicines designed to stimulate the immune system and counter immune suppression, with the potential to revolutionize cancer treatment.

 

 

The new identity needed to align with the established naming direction of its sister company, Potenza. After a thorough strategic exploration, Tizona—evoking themes of “worthiness” and “leadership”—was selected as the corporate name. This powerful identity not only positioned the company as a leader in immunotherapies but also maintained phonetic ties to Potenza. Both names share three syllables and multiple letters, creating a sense of cohesion between the two companies.
