The result was the verbal identity Microsoft Outlook, a Brand targeting both professional and consumer users. The name Outlook – defined as “a view or perspective from the place from which an observer looks” – clearly communicates that all Outlook tasks are managed from a single window and reinforces users’ positive outlook by simplifying simultaneous, information-intensive tasks.
