Brandsymbol Volunteers at Reedy Creek Park

Reedy Creek Nature Preserve protects 927 acres of natural, forested habitat within Reedy Creek Park. Over ten miles of hiking trails in the nature preserve allows visitors to explore various terrains while enjoying scenic views of small lakes, forests, fields, streams, and wildlife. Reedy Creek Nature Preserve is also home to Reedy Creek Nature Center and the Dr. James F. Matthews Center for Biodiversity Studies.

On June 2nd, 2021, Brandsymbol was thrilled to spend the morning picking up trash and clearing brush from the miles of trails at this beautiful nature preserve. We want to thank the Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation Dept. and Karen B. Howard, LRT/CTRS–the volunteer coordinator–for ensuring we knew how to use our “loppers.” Thankfully, we all made it back with as many fingers and toes as we left with!

At the heart of Brandsymbol, we’re a business that cares about people. We enjoy making a difference to and through our clients every day, but we also take heart in our service events. These events engage our team and allow us to give back to our community in numerous ways, which we strive to do as often as possible. Clearing trails and helping keep Reedy Creek beautiful was a fantastic experience!
