Hexagon, a global leader in sensor, software, and autonomous solutions, sought a brand overhaul for its Hexagon Mining division after multiple acquisitions and the introduction of a new corporate logo. Brandsymbol was tasked with evaluating Hexagon Mining’s overarching brand architecture and extending the refreshed brand identity across seven global divisions. This complex challenge involved representing 2-3 levels of brand hierarchy per division that supported brand consistency while also allowing for divisional distinction.
By deconstructing the corporate logo, Brandsymbol crafted a unique icon for each division and developed division-specific identifiers. These efforts resulted in a library of distinctive shapes and textures, all governed by a cohesive set of rules. The outcome was a flexible brand architecture with clear identity guidelines, enabling consistent yet adaptable representation across all communications.
